Dow Corning currently seeks a Silane Process Stream Analyzer Technician
for a position at our Hemlock, Michigan facility.
Must have un-restricted employment authorization to work in the U.S.
This position is for a process stream analyzer technician in a silane
manufacturing plant. This person will be responsible for the operation
and maintenance of multiple on-line analyzers, including GC, FTIR and
Raman spectrometers. Some equipment is outdoors and in process towers.
The successful candidate will also be trained in Epitaxial reactor
deposition and ICPMS to serve as back-up for the Metals technician.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering-related
field preferred.
- Hands on experience with QA/QC laboratory testing and reporting for
final product certification with in-process testing experience also
desired.
- Outstanding mechanical skills with working knowledge of pressure
regulators, valves, pneumatic actuation, flow control, vacuum systems
and other gas plant equipment.
- In-depth understanding of gas sampling systems, analyzer operations,
data conversion and communication techniques and LIMS reporting.
- Record of successful instrument hardware and software operation,
troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a hazardous environment with
hazardous materials and to pay attention to detail; experience working
with pyrophoric chemicals desired.
- Ability to work effectively in inclement weather and to climb stairs
carrying tools.
- Excellent organizational skills; effective interpersonal, oral and
written communication skills; ability to work well in a team
environment.
